Holiday Shows

Each December, our classes perform the 2 holiday dances they have learned over the past 12 weeks at local Senior Centers. We also put on a large show for all family and friends. Starburst Dance provides the costumes for this performance. Family and friends are encouraged to come and support their dancers.
We have performed for the Christian Community Care Center in Hudson, WI and at Wellhaven Senior Center in River Falls, WI.
Spring Recital

After another 12 weeks of lessons, our dancers perform their spring recital at Meyer Middle School in River Falls, WI. This recital is open to the public and free of charge. Any young sibling or friend also has a chance to perform on stage for a number to share the spotlight and spark their desire to be a star!
Our spring recital happens at the end of March/beginning of April to allow busy families to participate in spring sports, concerts and prepare for the end of the year celebrations.
History of Starburst Dance

In 2007 I was approached by a mother who asked if I would start my own dance program. I was reluctant because of the amount of work it would be and that there were other wonderful dance studios available in our area.
However, after some sincere thinking, I thought about putting together a program that I would love my own children to participate in to explore the love of movement. I wanted this program to allow children of all backgrounds to have a chance to learn proper techniques in a small size class, embrace the thrill of performance and still be able to grow as a person.
So in the fall of 2007, Starburst Dance started with only 9 students. We have had classes for just boys, tots, and have even started an adult tap program because you have asked. I love hearing these students tell themselves that they are amazing at the end of class.
